Simple Life

Life is really precious and so simple. Today is ending my first week of vacation in the Philippines. It is such an eye opener being here. Everyone is struggling yet happy and content. Living there life one day at a time.

I still remember growing up in the Philippines. Some of the happier days happened here. Growing up with alot of my cousins in the Philippines leaving only when I was really young was tough. But I realize the opportunities I have in the U.S. are a blessing. Able to pursue all my dreams. Being the person I am now. Life is simply wonderful. This year I am really going to embed things that are really important in my life. God, Family, and my Goals.

In life, you only need one thing, Love. Love life, Love family, Love God, Love yourself. Be happy at things you have and pursue the things that you really want in life. Everyones dreams and goals are possible if you have dedication and support from the ones you love.

All you need is LOVE

I think the main question I always get from my clients at my consultation is "Are you married?" and its funny cause as a wedding photographer, I should be married to know the ins and out of a wedding. But to tell you the truth, the answer I give is this. "I know what LOVE is all about. LOVE is what surrounds my world and the people I care so much about. No matter what, weddings are all about love. That special day for both the bride and groom. Even though I've never planned a wedding myself, I love the atmosphere that surrounds them-so much emotion, so much beauty. It is at that moment when I am capturing your wedding that I see LOVE and nothing can go wrong. Everything about a wedding, no matter how stressful it is to plan, LOVE was put in it. Every details and every minute. I LOVE what I do as photographer. It is the best job in the world and to do it right, All you need is LOVE and LOVE is all worth it."

John + Lauren

I have to say the last 3 months of 2012 was amazing and one of the reason was getting an email from Lauren. She emailed me wanting to see if I could do a last minute wedding photography at the Wrigley Mansion. Wedding date was for December 29th, 2012. I have to say I was ecstatic. I always wanted to shoot a small wedding at the Wrigley Mansion. I agreed to do it without even meeting the two. Met the two for the first time at the day of there wedding. I have to admit, I was nervous because I have never done a wedding where I never met the couple. But to my surprise, this two was incredible, made me feel at ease just seeing how in-love they were. When I say this, I say it with joy, because it's so hard to find that unconditional love we search for. John & Lauren found that in each other. I wish them the best of luck to there new adventure. :)

New Year! Extended Goal!

The new year always brings a new list of goals. Something new to accomplished in the new year but my goals this year is simply a revised or an extension of my goals from last year. Last year started out with a positive note. My list of goals was ready to be conquered but in life I learned that there are ups and downs, personally and business wise. Unlike any other year, I wasn't able to even start or finish any of my personal and business goals. It was something I would call an obstacle was on a way. Not just some obstacle but an emotional one that took toll in my life that I could never imagine. I am just glad that there are people in my life that was able to be there for me. I am truly blessed and loved. Now forwarding to the last 3 months of 2012, I was able to really concentrate on my goals, both personal and business. I know I might not have finish or succeeded on those goals but at least I was able to start it. The last 3 months of 2012 was something for me to feel proud of. I was able to do what needed to be done in a year to 3 months. The title suits this blog because the goals I have last year is my goals this year. It already started out in a positive note. I clearly scratch off 2 things I wanted to scratch off last year. One is to have a successful Bridal Expo for 2013 and the other is to travel outside of the country. Bridal Expo was a success for me this year, I had so much compliments from Brides and there moms on my photography work. It truly touch my heart to know that I am doing what I love to do. I will also be traveling in two weeks outside of the United States. In 2 weeks, I will be back in the island of Philippine for 3 weeks. I am so excited. I haven't been back in so long. It would be a nice change of pace for me. For 2013, I want to be able to be relentless and accomplish so much more and scratch more out of my goals. I got this. :)

"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off of you." -Maya Angelou
